When going to a place that seems to be too near to ride a car, or too far to go on foot, an electric scooter is an ideal option. It is not that complicated to drive (maybe the first time) and does not need a large parking space. It can also be fun to ride, as you feel the wind on your face. So if you want your own electric scooter, but do not know what to buy, then try the Razor E300S Seated Electric Scooter!

Electric Scooter Features:

  • Bragging a super quiet chain-driven motor, high torque, and a useful twist-grip throttle
  • Speeds up to 15 mph
  • Has two 12-volt sealed lead acid batteries
  • Contains a spring loaded kickstand, additional wide 10-inch pneumatic tires, hand-operated rear brake and removable riding seat
  • Has a super-sized frame and deck available to all riders of all sizes
  • 12 hours for initial charge time
  • 12 to 24 (recommended for maximum charging time) hours for recharge time, even if the light turns green
  • Runs continuously for 45 minutes, but may still vary with climate, riding conditions and/or proper maintenance

Pros:

The Razor E300S Seated Electric Scooter will get you around with style and power! This cool vehicle features a super-sized-frame and deck that all riders of all sizes can enjoy. It can also reach up to 15 miles per hour due to its chain-drive motor that is considered as high-performance and super quiet. To add, it has a pair of added-wide pneumatic tires that measure 10 inches to guarantee a smooth ride as you journey around the neighborhood.

There are also a charger and tools that come along with this electric scooter, wherein you may find yourself in need of the latter, since you need to assemble the parts yourself (or you can go to a shop for the assembly).

Other features are also included, such as a twist-grip throttle, single speed drive chain and a rechargeable battery that could deliver up to 45 minutes of nonstop use per charge. (Take note that the battery requires an estimated eight hours of charge time).

Further, it can handle a maximum weight of 220 pounds, plus a warranty of 90 days comes alongside. It’s got a hand operated rear brake, as well as two 12-volt sealed lead acid batteries. This vehicle is also available in the Sweet Pea addition!

It is in color pink (absolutely sweet-looking), but do not let the looks deceive you because it can still pretty much perform ‘like a man.’ It has a bigger deck, tires, and frame, though, but still looks so sophisticated that girls would not be able to get enough of it.

Safety equipment is recommended too, such as elbow pads, knee pads, and a helmet. And as a rider, you need to be responsible enough for knowing and following all local, federal and state rules and regulations about riding and using the electric scooter.

Cons:

Since this electric scooter only operates for about 40 minutes, that means it can only work for quite a short time. And then, you have to recharge it for at least eight hours before you can use it again, for another 40 minutes.

If you do not want this kind of performance, this electric scooter is not the one for you. Also, the two 12-volt batteries can be recharged for 200 times, and then you have to replace them. So that means if you use and recharge the scooter every day, you need to replace the batteries after a little over six months.

Some customers also received the product in a state that is clearly not brand new. And true enough, when opened, the lid was nearly disintegrated. The pieces were also obviously re-wrapped in haste. They had scratch marks on the paint. Also, the scooter tends to overheat after just five minutes of use and then shuts off.

Verdict:

Purchasing this vehicle really depends if you are okay with the fact that it can only run for 40 minutes or not. If yes, then the Razor E300S Seated Electric Scooter is for you, and is recommendable to other riders too!

To note, this one is powerful and fast. It also easily takes over average hills. Though it may not be able to climb steep hills on its own, it may help if you kick along. The battery can also last longer if you combine coasting and power.

And for the girls, its pink color, together with little flowers as design, is really cute. And guess what? You can actually attach a removable wire basket to its seat post. That can be super handy when you have to carry groceries, books, and other stuff. Overall, this scooter is really fun and is environmental-friendly too! It is very handy for quick errands that are neither near nor far.

  1. Hey there.

Yeah this scooter doesn’t seem to do it for me. 40 minutes is not a long time. And only 200 charges? Ugh. There’s gotta be a better way!

I can think of my uses for this vehicle but I’d hate to get stuck out there a couple miles from home without any charge!

    1. Hey Tim,

Thank you for the comment. I’m aware of your concern but these electric scooters aren’t meant to be use as a transportation to work and home type. I mean you could but thats not the intention. Ill let you know if an electric scooter thats more suitable to you would come out (:

  2. This is very nice. I would not be using a scooter that often. So the 40 minute use time is not big to me.

I was just talking to my son about getting him a scooter this week. I am looking through the options on your site. Do you have any that you will would recommend for a 5 year old? It is getting warm in our area and the children are out riding on their scooters

    1. I know it’s very tempting to get a child an electric scooter but I would think hard about this. I would advise that your child be around 8 years old at least just as a precaution. Out of the electric scooters that I’ve reviewed I can’t really recommend one for a 5 year old. If you really want to get him one then I would go with the Pulse Performance Products GRT-11 Electric Scooter.
